ABOUT ME

My name is Heather Roberts and I am now on the next leg of my adventures, I have spent just over a year volunteering in Sarawak Malaysia (PLEASE SEE HEATHERS BORNEO DIARIES) having had the pleasure of working with Orangutans, Sunbears and Macaque’s it has been the most amazing experience especially being involved with the start of the rehabilitation of two young orangutans taking them daily into the forest to teach them jungle skills I spent a lot of time with pig tailed macaque’s and developed a great love for them like most smaller primates around the world they are classed as vermin and a nusciance so have a terrible life  This has led me to want to increase my knowledge of smaller primates which brings me to South Africa to work with vervet monkeys and baboons,  I am currently staying with Karen Saks a very knowledgeable lady with Baboons and who is now working with Vervet monkeys. I am now on the start of another journey to help misunderstood primates and hopefully be able to leave my mark not only on the animals but on the local people.
